Jackson Pollock is someone I have continously looked at because the performance atributes of his large mascueline paintings. The over top gestures of the hands flicks which creates the movement in the paint, is anther way that the body can create shapes and movement in art.

These unfinshed drawings are the ones I enjoy the most due to the unpolished lines the more sketchy fast approach to the, which shows the continous movement and changing of poses.





Degas is one of the most importatnt artist to look at when exploring the relationship between Art and Dance. He was allowed into dance classes to captuer the dancers in there natrual enviroment and movement. The fluidity of the lines are captuered through the poses and stretches involed in ballet. These strong lines that the body can produce is what inspires my interest the disapline.
